The number one medical condition that people turn to medical marijuana for is chronic pain. This is not only because of how common this condition is but also because it just works!

That way you are confident in using us as your medical marijuana card provider!

The Basics of Chronic Pain:

What sets chronic pain apart from regular pain is that it lasts much longer. If you experience an injury or illness, you usually experience pain but then it leaves. With chronic pain, it doesn’t go away. If your pain lasts longer than 3-6 months, you could be diagnosed with chronic pain.

Those with chronic pain have every aspect of their lives affected by this condition. Simple, everyday tasks such as getting groceries or tying your shoes can become difficult. This takes an extreme mental and emotional toll on someone that is already experiencing an intense physical toll.

Chronic pain happens when the brain sends pain signals throughout the body. These signals are normal after an injury or an illness. It is a warning sign that you are hurt. When you have chronic pain, these signals fire after healing time has passed or even for no reason at all. They can continue for months or even years. Below are some of the most common symptoms that those with chronic pain can be dealing with:

  • Aching

  • A burning sensation

  • Muscle stiffness or soreness

  • Mood changes

  • Loss of appetite

  • General weakness

  • Lethargy

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

Medical Marijuana Can Help Chronic Pain!

Medical marijuana has a well established reputation for being a treatment for chronic pain! If you are dealing with chronic pain you are in luck because there is a plethora of research on medical marijuana and chronic pain. Although there is plenty of anecdotal evidence, it is always nice to have it backed by research!
